ReadOut

Terms of Service

Last updated: September 2, 2026

These terms cover your use of ReadOut — the Chrome extension and joinreadout.app. Questions: hello@joinreadout.app.

What ReadOut is

ReadOut helps you practice English by reading web pages out loud: it counts your speaking time, records sessions for your own listen-back, saves words you double-click, and keeps your progress in sync. It's a practice tool, not a certification or a guarantee of any particular learning outcome.

Your account

You need a Google account to sign in, and you're responsible for activity on your account. One account per person.

Subscription & billing

Your content

Your recordings, saved words, and progress are yours. We host them to provide the service, and we delete them when you delete your account.

Fair use

Don't abuse the service: no attempting to break, overload, or reverse the systems, no sharing one account among many people, and no using ReadOut for anything unlawful.

Service & liability

ReadOut is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it reliable, but we can't promise uninterrupted service, and to the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be noted here with a new date. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
